A denim jacket inspired by Lee’s iconic “101-J RIDERS JACKET.”
Based on the “101-J RIDERS JACKET”—whose design is said to have been finalized in 1948—this jacket features the “COWBOY” donut buttons that were produced at the same time as the pants. RIDERS JACKETS featuring donut buttons are even rarer than the pants, and we have recreated a model that is extremely rare even in the vintage market.
While preserving these rare details, we have updated the sizing for a modern fit.
By adding moderate ease to the body and shoulder width, and adjusting the length to avoid being too short while balancing the front-to-back hem difference, we have achieved a refined look characteristic of MARKAWARE.

We have recreated the selvedge denim featured in the 1945 101 COWBOY PANTS, which actually used indigo thread on one side and white selvedge on the other.
Red-selvedge denim is said to have originated in the late 1920s at Cone Mills in the United States, where red was added to distinguish it from other fabrics.
Lee often uses white selvedges or indigo selvedges, and the width of the selvedges varies by era. It is believed that the color was changed to distinguish the fabric from others.
